Week 4 was somewhat of a standard week in the SEC as only Arkansas-LSU was decided by a margin of fewer than seven points. The Alabama-Ole Miss matchup was the most highly anticipated game of the day, but Bama cruised to victory as the Rebels continued to bungle their opportunities to score.
After four weeks of football, we have just three undefeated SEC teams remaining: Georgia, Kentucky, and Missouri. Not the most expected trio of teams outside of Georgia, but we'll see if those three can keep their streaks alive in Week 5.
We've finally made it to the heart of the SEC schedule this week, as all 14 teams will take on conference opponents. LSU-Ole Miss is the only ranked matchup and has potential to be the most exciting game on Saturday evening. Florida and Kentucky will battle in a seemingly even matched affair, and Tennessee will try to avenge last season's meltdown against South Carolina at home under the lights in Neyland Stadium. We'll also see how Texas A&M fairs against Arkansas in their first full game without starting quarterback Connor Weigman, who will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.
Alex still holds the lead in the BSSR SEC Betting Challenge, as there's more separation within the leaderboard than normal at this point in the season. We're only just under a third of the way through the regular season, so there's plenty of time for the leaderboard to shake up before we reach the SEC Championship Game in December.
Here are our picks for Week 5:
