The Elite 8 is officially set, and I must say that the contestants of the Bucket Squad Sports Reports (Your #1 Source for All Things Sports) Mega March Madness Matchup Monstrosity, myself included, had a rough outing during this March Madness. Out of our seven entrants, only one person correctly picked more than one of the actual Elite 8 teams. That's a shockingly poor display, and it's due to the fact that this NCAA tournament has been perhaps the craziest one of all time. I don't know if there's ever been another year when only one 1-seed made it to the Elite 8, and I know there's never been another year when a 15-seed did. Kansas and Duke were the only teams that anyone correctly picked in their Elite 8, and Kansas is the only one remaining that anyone had in their Final 4. It's down to only two people who have a shot at winning it all now. Ultimately, the champion of the Bucket Squad Sports Reports (Your #1 Source for All Things Sports) Mega March Madness Matchup Monstrosity will be decided by whether or not Kansas makes it to the National Championship game. If they do, Andrew's Bracket will win the grand prize. If they don't, Trizzy will be crowned champion (no pun intended). Here's the updated leaderboard going into the first day of the Elite 8. I won't be writing an update tomorrow as neither of tonight's games have an impact on our bracket challenge at this point. 1. Trizzy (500 points, 80 PPR)
T2. Andrew's Bracket (460 points, 240 PPR)
T2. BallaStatus479422890 (460 points, 0 PPR)
4. groovypup (450 points, 0 PPR)
T5. Don't Matter, Go Vols (430 points, 0 PPR)
T5. Feelslike2022 (430 points, 80 PPR)
7. Swatson (370 points, 0 PPR)
