The Bucket Squad Sports Reports (Your #1 Source for All Things Sports) Mega March Madness Matchup Monstrosity is officially underway. We only had seven people enter our tournament, which is shocking given the amazing credibility of Bucket Squad Sports Reports combined with the promotional partnering with Swatify Industries and the massive grand prize to be paid to the winner. But nonetheless, everyone still has a great chance to win after day one of the NCAA tournament. Thursday saw a few major upsets, most noticeably the shocking choke job by 2-seed Kentucky against the 15-seed Saint Peter's Peacocks. Kentucky was a popular final four pick for our applicants, and was the champion picked in one bracket. The only other game from Thursday that significantly impacted our bracket challenge was 5-seed Iowa's loss to 12-seed Richmond, as two users had Iowa in their final four. Aside from those two games, the only other rather unexpected results were 11-seed Michigan's win over 6-seed Colorado State and another 12-5 upset featuring New Mexico State over Connecticut. Gonzaga (1), Baylor (1), Kansas (1), Tennessee (3), Saint Mary's (5), and North Carolina (8) coasted to massive victories, Providence (4) and Memphis (9) took care of business, Creighton (9) and Murray State (7) pulled off overtime wins, and UCLA (4) and Arkansas (4) survived upset scares late last night. You can check out the BSSR Bracket Challenge field and the standings after day 1 of the NCAA Tournament below. We currently have a three-way tie for first place.
