Thursday was the night of the favorites in the opening day of Regional play, as all of the higher seeds advanced to the Elite 8. (1) Duke, (1) Florida, and (2) Alabama coasted to big victories over (4) Arizona, (4) Maryland, and (6) BYU, respectively.
But the final game of the night was much more dramatic. The lowest seed entering the Sweet 16, (10) Arkansas jumped out to a lead from the beginning against (3) Texas Tech and maintained it for much of the game. But the Red Raiders ended the 2nd half on a 27-11 run to come back and force overtime before winning by two in OT.
With half of the Elite 8 field decided, we can turn our attention to the Mega March Madness Matchup Monstrosity leaderboard.
Last night's results were not damaging to our brackets, as no one lost a Final Four team. Here's an updated breakdown of everyone's remaining picks, with the games correctly picked from yesterday highlighted green.
We'll see if our challengers can escape unscathed again after the four remaining Sweet 16 games on Friday. Check back tomorrow for another leaderboard update.
