The Final Four is officially set after a rather anticlimactic day of Elite Eight contests on Sunday.
Again, we saw zero upsets on the day, with the 1-seeds winning with relative ease. (1) Houston dismantled (2) Tennessee from the tip, opening a big lead early in the first half and never relinquishing it en route to a 19-point victory. Similarly, (1) Auburn jumped out on (2) Michigan State and held on for a comfortable win despite a 2nd half injury to star forward Johni Broome.

Half of the 2025 Final Four is now set after the first two games of the Elite Eight were played on Saturday. Following the trend we've seen so far this tournament, there were no upsets, with both 1 seeds advancing.
The NCAA Tournament field has been cut down to eight teams with the completion of the Sweet 16 games Friday night. And we're set for potentially the highest quality of Elite Eight teams we've ever seen.
Thursday was the night of the favorites in the opening day of Regional play, as all of the higher seeds advanced to the Elite 8. (1) Duke, (1) Florida, and (2) Alabama coasted to big victories over (4) Arizona, (4) Maryland, and (6) BYU, respectively.
The Sweet 16 is finally set after an exciting second day of games in the Round of 32.
Though we only saw one upset all day, (8) UConn gave (1) Florida all they could handle in Sunday's opening game. Like so many teams have done this tournament, the Gators used a late run to fuel their come from behind victory to save their season and advance to the next round.
After a somewhat lackluster opening round of tournament play, the first day of the Round of 32 provided lots of high quality action. We saw three upsets out of Saturday's eight games, and just about every winning team had to battle their way into the Sweet 16.
It was another relatively slow day to cap off the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, as just three upsets occurred on Friday. The first occurred in the day's opening game, when (9) Baylor held on to defeat (8) Mississippi State in a close one. (12) Colorado State and (10) New Mexico both went on late runs to knock off (5) Memphis and (7) Marquette, respectively.
