NFL Week 9

Another middling 4-3 week for us in Week 8, which featured a terrible beat with the Seahawks fumbling twice on the goal line to prevent the Over in their game against the Bills from hitting.  The Lock of the Week is officially on a roll as we got another win there thanks to the Steelers.  We continue to push back to the .500 mark at 27-28-1, and the Lock of the Week is up to 5-6.  We're due for a big week here in Week 9.

Denver Broncos +9.5 at Baltimore Ravens
I had someone ask me this week if it would be crazy to start Bo Nix over Lamar Jackson on his fantasy team.  And while the answer is yes, it would be crazy, that's a testament to how good this Broncos offense has been this season.  Now, Denver has benefitted from weak opponents the last several weeks, but they've dominated in a lot of those games.  So I'm actually a little surprised that this number is so high, especially with the Ravens coming off a loss to the Browns.  I think there's a lot of value in the Broncos here.

Washington Commanders -4.0 at New York Giants

The Commanders pulled off one of the most magical wins I've ever seen in a football game last week against the Bears, and they almost feel like a team of destiny this year.  We'll see a healthy Jayden Daniels this week against a team that hasn't really kept it competitive in their last three contests.  I have no faith in New York's offense, and Washington's defense has been stifling this year.  I like the Commanders to win big.

New England Patriots +3.0 at Tennessee Titans

This one is simple.  Not only are the Titans horrendous, they also played the Lions last week.  And every team that has played the Lions so far has lost the following week.  So give me the Pats as road underdogs.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills Over 49.5

We should've hit on the over in last week's Bills game, and we're going to get our redemption here this week.  We'll have no problem getting points out of Buffalo, whose offense is on fire.  And the return of Tua to the Dolphins gives them an immediate resurgence to their explosive playmakers.  I think this will be a fairly competitive game that the Bills will win by a score of something like 30-24.

Chicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals Under 45.0

These two teams are somewhat hard to predict, as they've both played in close games, blowouts, defensive struggles, and shootouts.  But I'm thinking this one will tend toward the close, low-scoring variety.  Caleb Williams has generally been awful efficiency wise, and the offense came crashing back to Earth last week against Washington.  I have Kyler Murray on two of my fantasy teams so I've felt Arizona's offensive struggles.  And I'm not counting on a ton of points from him this week.  Give me the under.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +9.0 at Kansas City Chiefs

This obviously isn't a full strength Buccaneers team, but I can't count on the Chiefs to cover a number this big.  Baker Mayfield is going to find a way to keep this game close with whoever he's tasked with throwing to.  I'm also just hoping for a close and competitive Monday night game, and I'd love to be able to pull for the Bucs to keep it close for my bet's sake.

Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons Over 52.0

This is a very high number for an NFL game, but I can't resist.  This Cowboys defense is so beat up and inefficient and the Falcons have such a potential for massive point outputs that this game could get to the 70s.  This should be a fun one and if you have players on your fantasy team from either of these teams, I'd start them.  I'm making this my Lock of the Week and sitting back and watching the fireworks.
