We had a slimmed down slate of games in Week 5, but it included the most exciting game of the year thus far as Alabama took down Georgia in Tuscaloosa. Georgia battled back from a 28-0 first half deficit to take the lead with two and a half minutes to go in the game, but Bama answered immediately with one of the greatest plays I've seen a receiver make. Ryan Williams took a deep ball to the house with a bevy of ballcarrier moves to convert a 75-yard touchdown on the first play of their drive. Georgia drove down the field but Carson Beck threw an interception in the end zone, his third of the day, to secure the victory for the Tide.
While Alabama has taken a massive step toward securing their spot in the SEC Championship or CFP, Ole Miss did the opposite after suffering a home loss to Kentucky. The Wildcats dominated the time of possession and chewed up clock to keep the Rebel offense off the field. With three ranked SEC opponents still remaining on the schedule, Ole Miss might have to go perfect the rest of the way to counteract a bad home loss.
In other SEC news, Oklahoma overcame an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to notch a road victory over Auburn, Texas A&M held off Arkansas, and Texas handled Mississippi State with ease. LSU also rolled through South Alabama in the only non-conference matchup of the week. Here are our updated BSSR SEC Power Rankings after Week 5:

Andrew put up the best performance of the season so far against the spread, but was quite unlucky in the other two areas. For now, Grok still holds the overall lead out of the guest pickers.
This week's guest picker is Kyle Webb. He has been instrumental in keeping the U.S. economy afloat through the recent port strikes and hurricane devastation by logging countless miles on the road delivering supplies to those in need. He was also a key veteran member of the Dynasty basketball team, which won multiple championships in various men's leagues in east Tennessee We have six games to pick again this week. Five conference matchups and one non-conference game, like last week as well. #9 Missouri at #25 Texas A&M is the only ranked matchup, as that game and UCF at Florida are the only games featuring single possession spreads.
